A pleasant welcome awaits you at Birch Lodge & Cottages as you come and enjoy the seasons and relax on the peaceful shores of Granary Lake (Magog Lake)! We are located in the Canadian Northeast, between Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie, just fifteen kilometres north of Blind River.
A private little lake surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery.
Birch Lodge offers year round cottage rentals and seasonal bed & breakfast accommodation.
Each of our five fully equipped cottages overlooks 870 feet of shoreline and sandy beach area, providing a spectacular view for families and sportsmen alike; it provides an ideal setting for an evening campfire roasting marshmallows or watching the Northern Lights. Our water is clean for great swimming, canoeing and boating in the summer. You may also pick blueberries and raspberries when they are in season.
Our Cottages
Birch Lodge is proud to offer clean and bright housekeeping accommodations, each overlooking beautiful Granary Lake and within 100 feet from the water. They are fully equipped with electricity, hot water and a three (3)-piece or four (4)-piece bathrooms, fridge, four (4)-burner stoves with oven, along with wood-burning stoves for heat (wood provided).
The kitchens come with pots and pans, dishes, glasses and cutlery. We also supply dish towels, dishcloths, scouring pads and dish soap along with Kleenex, paper towels and toilet paper. All bedding, comforters and pillows are provided as well along with an extra blanket for those cool nights. Outside, you will have a propane BBQ with utensils and propane is provided, as well as a picnic table.
Bed and Breakfast Accommodations (in season only)
Enjoy a unique Bed and Breakfast at Birch Lodge. Not just a bedroom, but a chalet to spend your night. After a good nights sleep over looking peaceful Granary Lake, a healthy breakfast will be served at the main house, between 8am and 9am, which will include coffee, tea and juice, along with fresh homemade bread, cold cuts and cheese, croissants or muffins and jam, yoghurt and fruit salad, also hot or cold cereal.
Enjoy the Outdoors
Go hiking or mountain biking on the trails or take an ATV ride (trails available right from the lodge). Early spring fishing for the sportsmen or fall fishing and hunting are also available.
If you have your own boat, bring it along as there is no extra charge for docking or launching. This also gives you the opportunity to fish 5 other lakes, not more than a twenty minute drive from our lodge.
Our beautiful white winters offer ice-fishing, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing as well some of Northern Ontario's greatest snowmobiling trails.
We have something for everyone!

Cottage Rates:
$145 to $245 per night
$775 to $1485 per week
$355 to $675 three days, off season
Deposits of $150.00 are required for all cottage reservations, made payable to Birch Lodge, by cheque or money order.
Bed & Breakfast Rates:
Enjoy a unique B&B at Birch Lodge. Not just a room, but a chalet to spend your night.
Birchwood Cottage - queen and double beds - hot tub on the deck - $50.00 per person per night.
Bayside Cottage - king and double beds - hot tub on the deck - $50.00 per person per night.
Teenagers - half price
Children - under 12 years stay free
Cheques, Mastercard and Visa accepted.
The Bed & Breakfast is Seasonal - from the first Wednesday after the Labor Day weekend to the 20th of May
