Our Inn is nestled in the heart of City in the 'Olde City Hall' a short stroll to Lock 8 of the Welland Canal. There are 13 distinctive individually appointed rooms with a historic touch and all modern comforts. Conference facilities available. Showboat Theatre a short drive away. Restaurant & Pub are on site.
Great golfing in the area and Niagara Falls a short 20 minutes drive away. The Marina is breathtaking and West St has great shops to stroll through.
The King George Inn has thirteen distinctive rooms each individually appointed and each with a theme from the many uses of the former City Hall, including the Post Office, the Police Station and of course, City Hall and the Judges Chambers.
239 King Street, Port Colborne, was originally the Post Office in the Main Portion. This is why you will see vaults throughout the Building. There is one on each Floor. On the Top Floor one is now a Bathroom in The Bankers Vault and, in the Restaurant, one is now a very small intimate Dining Room.
On the Lower level the Vault is now a Media Room with a Computer. Many of the Rooms in the King George Inn reflect the various uses to which the building has been put. i.e. The Judges Chamber, The Postmaster General, The Bankers Vault and The Mayors Suite.
We can accommodate any type of function, large or small, from a wedding outside in our inner courtyard in the Historic Cobourg Jail, to a anniversary celebration in our facility in Port Colborne, to a business meeting in Lindsay. Whatever your needs, we are here to give you ideas and cater to your wishes and even some of your dreams!

All rooms are non-smoking.
Cancellation Policy:
Your First Night's Stay will be charged to your Credit Card, if cancellation is not received two full days prior to check in date.
PETS REGRETTABLY NOT ALLOWED in the MAIN part of The Inn. However a small pet friendly suite has been constructed in The Gatekeepers Cottage. If this Suite is available at the time of your Stay. There is a extra C$10 for your Pet and this can only be a small Dog or Cat that is well trained and disciplined. We do not want to disturb other Guests. |
