One of Muskoka's finest cottage resorts, the Cedarwood Resort offers luxurious cottages, suites and comfy nightly rooms, all in a tranquil lake setting surrounded by nature.
Cedarwood on Lake Muskoka is a picturesque housekeeping resort situated in the heart of the beautiful Muskoka region between Bracebridge and Port Carling on Cedar Bay. Cedarwood is a three season resort that provides spectacular vacation accommodation with many extra touches for our guests' comfort and enjoyment.
The Cottages...
We have three 3 bedroom, and one 4 bedroom cottage. They are four season all pine cottages that are spacious, with cathedral ceilings, and large windows providing lovely vistas of the property and lake.
Each cottage is nestled amongst the trees for true privacy and is immersed in the sounds of nature. They are tastefully furnished in pine and oak furniture with lovely Muskoka colours in all the fabrics. Kitchens come fully equipped with many extras including dishwashers, microwaves, and coffeemakers. There are luxurious amenities in each such as wood-burning stoves with glass doors, TV/VCR's, and Jacuzzi jet bathtubs. All cottages have a large outdoor deck with gas barbeques and patio furniture.
The Pine Suites...
The Pines is a two suite building situated in the center of the property facing the lake. Both Pines 1, our spacious one-bedroom suite, and Pines 2, our beautiful two-bedroom suite, have large windows that offer spectacular views of the lake. These units are decorated in soft greens with pine beams and fully equipped pine kitchens and include a diswasher, coffeemaker, and microwave. Both suites have TV/VCR's and Jacuzzi Jet bathtubs in the bathrooms. Dining can be enjoyed inside or on the private decks containing barbeques and patio furniture.
The Cedars...
For last minute travelers looking for one night to one week getaways, Cedarwood has a lovely 10 unit building called The Cedars. These units were built in the mid 70's and house spacious, tastefully decorated rooms. Each has its own private screened-in porch with patio furniture. The Cedars faces a large landscaped garden area bordered by trees and has gas barbeques and lawn furniture sprinkled about for our guests use. Five rooms contain a microwave, bar fridge, and 3 piece bath, and five have full efficiency units with kitchen needs for four, and 4 piece baths. Two of these units are two room units having a side bedroom with twin beds and a main room with a queen-length double bed and sitting area. All rooms have a TV.
The Cedarwood on Lake Muskoka property has been around since the 1930's. We draw the discriminating tourist who seeks quality, in a relaxed atmosphere away from large groups and organized activities. Cedarwood Resort offers a pleasant alternative.
Cedarwood enjoys hosting family reunions, small catered weddings, birthday celebrations and golfing groups. We have hosted the Great International Steamboat Flotilla and the Wine Country Classic Wooden Boat Meets.
Close your eyes and relax on the deck, listen to the sounds of summer at the lake and breath in the wonderfully fresh Muskoka air.
Your accommodation will exceed your expectations, the property is well cared for, there is plenty to do if you like and there is an abundance of space between you and the other guests. Cedarwood offers excellent boat docking and access to the tourist towns on Lakes Muskoka, Rosseau and Joseph.
