Chalet By-The-Lake Bed and Breakfast is beautifully situated on Maple Lake in the Haliburton Highlands, near Algonquin Park.
Perfect for your romantic getaway, fall colour tour, studio tour, golfing weekend or relaxing vacation. Enjoy our gourmet breakfasts and upscale accommodations including a loft suite, cozy guest rooms, Jacuzzi and fireplace.
As guests at Chalet By-The-Lake Bed and Breakfast, you have the use of the vaulted-ceiling Living Room, with its floor-to-ceiling fireplace, and its wall of windows. You can enjoy this in privacy while we relax in the lower level of the house.
The Living Room has an Entertainment Centre containing a 32-inch colour television set which receives over 200 digital satellite channels, with hi-fi audio. A DVD and VCR player are also for your use.
An outside deck stretches across the front of the house and is accessible from the Living Room through the terrace doors.
FREE Hi-Speed Broadband Internet access with your WiFi ( wireless ) equipped laptop computer.
The rooms offer a warm country decor featuring beds with plump duvets in cozy setting.
The Loft Suite features skylights which, when open, let in fresh country air. Off the main room is an en suite with a Jacuzzi tub.
The Loft Suite, with its privacy screens, overlooks the Living Room, has a cozy queen-size bed with a plump duvet. In the morning when you awaken you can lie in bed and listen to the leaves rustling in the light breeze and to the friendly sounds of birds chirping. From the rear and side bedroom windows you can look out into the woods.
At the end of the driveway is Maple Lake. There you will find an upper deck with chairs, all shaded by towering cedar trees and overlooking Maple Lake. Down a short stairway from the upper deck is the lakeside dock and our paddle boat, for your use. The water is clean and the bottom is sandy--perfect for swimming. The water is knee-high for about 20 meters, then it rapidly deepens where the water is clear and cool. You may just want to relax and enjoy the lovely view and the quiet solitude at the lakeside dock.
Chalet By-The-Lake Bed and Breakfast is only twenty minutes to Sir Sandford Fleming College of The Arts (Haliburton School of The Arts), dog sledding, hiking trails, fall colours, cross country Nordic skiing, and down hill skiing at nearby Sir Sam?s. Nearby are Leslie M. Frost Natural Resource Centre and Algonquin Park, Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve with its ?Walk In The Clouds? and ?Wolf Centre? and Winterdance Dog Sledding.
