Our century farm house has been beautifully restored and upgraded with modern conveniences while retaining the original charm. The farm is great for families or groups, you can sleep up to 12 people. There are 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, large living room with fireplace. A separate sitting room with second TV doubles as a fourth bedroom. The large country kitchen is fully equipped, including a harvest table that seats 12, a microwave and dishwasher. New furniture, beds and appliances were installed December 2005. Central air conditioning.
All of the facilities of Cedars Cottage Resort are available to you. Children love to play on our shallow, sandy beach. Meet at the outdoor heated swimming pool. We also have a games room with pool table, shuffleboard, table tennis. The use of canoes and peddle boats, life jackets and water safety kits are included. Lake Eugenia is well known for its great bass fishing. Cedars is close to great hiking trails, just minutes from the Bruce Trail, golf courses and the back roads are great for cycling. For the skiers we are close to some of Ontarios most popular ski slopes. 40 acres for nature walks.

Cedars is only minutes from the Bruce Trail, Canadas oldest and longest marked trail. The Beaver Valley is a great place to start on the trail. Enjoy the incredible view from on top of Old Baldy. There are several hikes available from this area. Cedars has several golf courses within a short distance and the back roads are great for cycling. For the alpine skiers we are close to some of Ontarios most popular ski slopes, Talisman, Beaver Valley, Blue Mountain. For those who enjoy cross country skiing we are a 15 minute drive from Kolapore Uplands Wilderness Area. The scenery is incredible, there are 7 waterfalls in Grey County, look out over Beaver Valley from the top of Old Baldy Mountain, explore the Feversham Gorge. Visit the Scenic Caves near Collingwood.
Cedars makes a good home base for sight seeing, we are only 2 hours from downtown Toronto and everything it has to offer. Visit Niagara Falls one of the great wonders of the world, only 2 1/2 hours away.
Or just stay on the beach and relax.
Each unit at Cedars has its own deck, lawn chairs, picnic tables and fire pit, propane BBQs are supplied during the summer season (May long weekend to Thanksgiving.) For the remainder of the year, firewood is provided free of charge. |
